On the morning of July 28, 2025, a delegation from Belarus, led by Yury Horlau, Minister of Food and Agriculture of the Republic of Belarus, visited our association. The delegation included Mr. Dzmitry Berazouski, Senior Counselor of the Belarusian Embassy in China, Mr. Eduard Bobka, Third Secretary, Ms. Natalia Paulouskava, Official Representative of the Ministry of Agriculture, and accompanying journalists. They were warmly received by Chairman Cai Hui-yi, Assistant Secretary-General Yang Ping, Director of International Cooperation Ai Lin, and Director of the Swine Industry Branch Zhao Yining.

At the start of the meeting, Minister Horlau provided an overview of Belarus’s livestock industry, highlighting its production capacity, recent development plans, and pressing needs for advanced technologies, equipment, and production models. He also outlined potential avenues for trade and cooperation between the two countries.

Chairman Cai extended a warm welcome to the delegation and responded positively to the topics raised. He noted that interactions between Chinese and Belarusian livestock enterprises, industry associations, and agricultural officials have significantly increased this year, yielding initial successes and creating opportunities for Chinese agricultural companies to expand internationally. China’s livestock industry is well-positioned to collaborate and share expertise in areas such as production capacity, low-carbon farming, biosecurity, digital technologies, and smart agriculture. Moving forward, both sides could initiate pilot projects in specific areas, with the association committed to facilitating trade, mutual visits, and cooperation to advance the livestock industries of both nations.
