Potassium Diformate

Potassium diformate is a new type of feed acidulant that has developed rapidly in recent years. In 2001, potassium diformate was officially approved as a new feed additive by the European Union. It is the first non-antibiotic feed additive approved in the EU to replace antibiotic growth promoters (Committee Registration No. 1334/2001). Potassium diformate has been widely used in Europe and China.

PRODUCT DETAILS

Potassium diformate is a water-soluble organic acid salt, which is stable under acidic conditions, but easily decomposed under neutral or alkaline conditions. Both formic acid and potassium formate, which are decomposed in the intestinal tract, have antibacterial effects. As a feed additive, potassium diformate can reduce intestinal pH, inhibit harmful bacteria in animal intestines, promote the secretion of digestive enzymes, and improve nutrient digestibility and animal production performance.
